* Some restrictions apply to Hot Time. In order to participate, you must:
- Be logged in to a character that is level 13 or above.
- Have space in your inventory to receive the box.
- Be logged in for the whole minute from 2:30 PM – 2:31 PM server time.
- Be in the main map of a town or hunting map that is regularly accessible.
- Make sure your character is alive.
- Have space in your inventory to open the box and receive the rewards inside.
Moments before Hot Time and until Hot Time is past, please do not engage in any activity – simply relax!
- Do not change channels.
- Do not engage in any quests.
- Do not enter the Cash Shop or MTS.
- Do not talk to any NPCs or use Gachapon.
- Do not use your inventory or storage.
- Do not manage your wedding wish list.
- Do not enter a mini-dungeon.
- Do not use a ship or other timed method of transit between locations.
It is also strongly recommend that you spread out to prevent the chances of slowing down your connection. Some recommended ways of doing this are:
- Logging in well before 2:30 PM.
- Being in a town that isn’t heavily frequented by other Maplers.
- Being in a channel that is less populated than others.
- Avoiding being clustered in large groups.
- Avoiding performing graphically intensive skills. Remaining still is best.
- Avoiding Maplers or monsters that might be performing graphically intensive skills.
Please be aware that although the servers are set to Pacific time, there can sometimes be variations in exact time between worlds. It is strongly recommended that you log in well before the event is scheduled and remain logged in even if you do not receive the gift box at exactly 2:30 PM Pacific.
New Class: Demon Slayer
The Demon Slayer was one of the Black Mage’s loyal generals during the war hundreds of years ago. After being betrayed by his fellow generals and the Black Mage, he turned against his former comrades. He fought the Black Mage himself, but he was defeated and sealed away.
The Demon Slayer awakens in the present, breaking through the weakened seal. He finds himself considerably weakened due the Black Wings draining his energy for their own uses. After being rescued by the Resistance, learning about their purpose, and learning that the Black Mage is not dead but is instead sealed away, he decides to join them in hopes of being able to exact his revenge some day.
- The Demon Slayer can only be created by selecting the Demon Slayer option when creating a new character.
- At creation, you can change the Demon Slayer’s gender and face.
- The gender you select determines the gender of the Demon Slayer in the fully animated video of his/her fight against the Black Mage.
- The Demon Slayer is Lv.10 with his 1st job already obtained by the time the required portion of his tutorial is complete.
- His 2nd job advancement can be made at Lv.30, the 3rd job advancement can be made at Lv.70, and the 4th job advancement can be made at Lv.120. All of these are done through quests.
- He gains 65 SP for his 1st job skills, so they all can be raised to their max level.
- The Demon Slayer can equip Warrior type equipment.
- The only types of weapons that the Demon Slayer can equip are one-handed maces/blunt weapons and one-handed axes.
- He starts with a special, untradeable mace, and receives a new one after each job advancement.
- He starts with a special, untradeable shield called a demon aegis. This shield is upgraded after each job advancement.
- His primary stat is strength (STR), and his secondary stat is dexterity (DEX).
- The Demon Slayer uses Demon Fury (DF or Fury for short) instead of Mana Points (MP).
- Demon Fury must be refilled through the use of certain Demon Slayer skills, most commonly by attacking enemies with regular attacks after skill points (SP) have been applied in the Demon Lash skill.
- Demon Fury cannot be refilled using items that refill your MP.
- Many of the Demon Slayer’s attacks consume both Fury and Hit Points (HP).
- Each Demon Slayer character has its own individual Cash Inventory not shared with other characters.
Unique Demon Slayer Basics skills
- Dark Winds (Master Level: 1): High Jump: Press the up arrow twice during a jump. Jag Jump: Press the right or left arrow key twice during a jump. Glide: Hold the jump key.
- Curse of Fury (Master Level: 1): Passive buff. When attacking, there is a chance to trigger Endless Fury. Endless Fury Chance: 5%, Recovers 5% HP when activated. Absorbs a fixed amount of Fury from eliminated enemies.
- Demonic Blood (Master Level: 1): Passive buff. Knockback Resistance: 100%, Willpower Lv.20, Ambition +20
- Fury Unleashed (Master Level: 1): Passive buff: When attacking boss monsters: Damage +10%, Additional Fury Absorption: 6. This can be granted to one character in the same world on your account.
- Hero’s Echo (Master Level: 1): Passive buff: Increases the Weapon and Magic ATT of all nearby players. Fury Cost: 10, Weapon/Magic ATT +4%, Duration: 40 min, Cooldown: 2 hrs. REQ LEV: 200
(While other classes are able to obtain this skill, the Demon Slayer version uses Fury instead of MP.)

- Demon Lash (Master Level: 10): Mash the attack key to hit enemies front of you with up to a four hit combo. At max level:

- Battle Pact (Master Level: 20): Active buff. Increases the speed of one-handed blunt weapons or axes by 2 levels for a short time. At max level: HP Cost: 80, Duration: 180 sec. Required Skill: Demon Lash Lv.5
- Shadow Swiftness (Master Level: 20): Passive buff. At max level: Accuracy +200, Speed +25, Jump +20. Required Skill: Demon Lash Lv.1
- HP Boost (Master Level: 20): Passive buff. At max level: Max HP +20%. Required Skill: Demon Lash Lv.1

- Dark Thrust (Master Level: 20): Charge forward, attacking multiple enemies while dragging them with you. At max level: Fury Cost: 10, Damage: 105%, Number of Attacks: 3, Max Enemies Hit: 8
- Chaos Lock (Master Level: 15): Teleports you to an enemy on the map and attacks them. The teleportation can be partly aimed using the directional keys. At max level: Fury Cost: 18, Damage: 305%, Max Enemies Hit: 6, Stun Chance: 90%, Stun Duration: 3 sec
- Vengeance (Master Level: 15): Active buff. At max level: HP Cost: 150, Duration: 180 sec, Returns 400% of damage received back to the enemy, Paralysis Chance: 90%, Paralysis Duration: 5 sec

- Infernal Concussion (Master Level: 30): At max level: HP Cost: 300, Fury Cost: 80, Damage 400%, Max Enemies Hit: 10. Lifts enemies into the air and deals 4 critical attacks that deal 335% damage. Requires Mastery Books.
- Demon Impact (Master Level: 30): Attacks enemies in front of you. At max level: Fury Cost 30, Damage: 400%, Number of Attacks: 5, Max Enemies Hit: 3, Additional Critical Rate: 100%, Enemy Defense Ignored: 50%, Final Damage against Boss Monster: +30%. Requires Mastery Books.
- Demon Cry (Master Level: 20): Attacks enemies around you. At max level: HP Cost: 500, Fury Cost: 60, Damage 210%, Number of Attacks: 5, Max Enemies Hit: 15. For 15 sec: Enemy ATT and DEF -15%, Enemy ACC -15%, EXP and item drop rate +20%. Requires a Mastery Book.
- Binding Darkness (Master Level: 20): Attacks enemies around you, holds them in place, damages them over time, and grants a permanent passive buff. At max level: Passive effect: Enemy DEF permanently ignored by 30%. Active effect: Fury Cost: 80, Damage: 900%, Max Enemies Hit: 15, Damage Over Time: 100% chance of causing 200% damage every 1 sec for 20 sec. Requires a Mastery Book.
- Dark Metamorphosis (Master Level: 30): Active buff that increases your max HP and damages enemies around you for a short duration. At max level: HP Cost: 200, Fury Cost: 75, Damage: 35% for 180 sec, Max HP Increase +15%, Automatically attack nearby enemies to deal 150% damage. Requires Mastery Books.
- Boundless Rage (Master Level: 15): Active buff that allows you to use skills without consuming Fury. At max level: Fury Cost: 120, Duration: 30 sec, Cooldown: 300 sec
- Leech Aura (Master Level: 10): Active buff: At max level: Fury Cost: 50, 3% of damage done to enemies is absorbed by party members as HP for 180 sec

Free Character Slot Coupon

- Log in to a character to receive a coupon for a free character slot in the Use tab of your item inventory.
- If you Use inventory is full, make space then relog to receive the coupon.

Legends Space Rock

- The rock has a thirty minute cooldown until you can use it again, and it expires after one day.

Legends 1+1
- December 8 – January 31
- Requirement: Cannoneer, Mercedes, Demon Slayer
- When you reach Lv.30 and Lv.70, you can obtain a potion that contains the amount of EXP needed to reach that level.
- After reaching the appropriate level, you can obtain the item by clicking on the mysterious potion icon on the left side of the game window.
- Characters that are participating in the event can view the EXP+ gauge, which will fill up when EXP has been obtained.
- A Cannoneer, Mercedes, and Demon Slayer can each participate 1 time, for a total of 3 participations.
- Double-click the potion in your item inventory to receive EXP contained within it.
- The total EXP and remaining EXP can be viewed by hovering your cursor over the potion in you item inventory. The item will disappear once the EXP has reached 0.
- These items cannot be moved to another new job class character.
- If you have not made the 1st job advancement before reaching Lv.30, then you may not be able to properly receive SP.
Legends Never Give Up!
- December 8 – January 31
- Requirement: Previously existing job. Cannoneers, Mercedes, and the Demon Slayer cannot participate.
- You can receive a Legends Never Give Up! buff when you reach levels 50, 60, 65, 70, 75, 80, 85, 90, 95, and 100.
- Be sure to claim the buff when you reach the appropriate level; if you level up further, you won’t be able to claim the reward for the level you passed.
- You will need three slots open in the Use tab of your item inventory to receive the reward when you level up to a given level.
- Double-click the buff in the Use tab of your item inventory to activate it. It will expire in three days if you don’t use it.
- Reward: Legends Never Give Up! x3: Double-click it to receive a 1.5x EXP buff for 1 hour. Untradeable
Legends Awards
- December 8 – January 31
- You’ll be able to acquire trophies by participating in the Legends Awards events, and you’ll obtain a Legends Awards Chair if you collect all the trophies.
- You can open the Legends Awards menu by clicking on the trophy icon on the left side of your game window.

Coin Shop
- Click the Coin Shop button to visit a shop where you can spend your Legends Awards Coins. Purchasable items include a wide selection of equipment with hidden potential, restorative items, recipes, scrolls, and special items such as SP Reset Scroll, AP Resets, Chaos Scrolls, Mystery Mastery Books, professions items, and a variety of Maple equipment.
- More than 20 types of Legendary Maple items
- More than 70 types of Lv.80-110 Legendary Weapons with hidden potential
- More than 30 types of Legends Scrolls
- Each character may purchase up to 10 Legends 1.3x EXP Coupons during the event.
- Various recipes including the Crystal Heart Recipe, the EXP Accumulation Potion Recipe, the Cleansing Potion Recipe, and the Wealth Acquisition Potion Recipe have been added.
Trophy List
- You can check the list of trophies that you’ve acquired and have yet to acquire. Hover your cursor over a trophy slot to see the basic requirement for that trophy.
My Trophies
- Your character name and the achievement will be displayed in the notice window at the center whenever you acquire a trophy and when you complete the bonus missions in the Mission tab.
Mission
- You can view a list of bonus missions available for the Legends Awards.
- A message will automatically display when you meet the mission completion requirements, and you’ll be able to receive the reward(s), which include Potential Scrolls, Equip Enhancement Scrolls, a special Chaos Scroll, and more
- A slot that was grayed out will become blue when you complete the corresponding content and receive its bonus rewards.
Hero of the Legends: New Class Creation Event
- December 8 – January 31
- Requirement: Cannoneer, Mercedes, or Demon Slayer
- Accept the quest from the icons on the left side of the screen.
- When you make the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th job advancements, you will receive Legends Awards Coins.
2nd job advancement: 1 coin
3rd job advancement: 3 coins
4th job advancement: 6 coins - When you have reached Level 50 with a new Legends character, you can get a Legends Ring.
- Legends Ring: A legendary ring that grows when you grow stronger. It can be shared with other characters on the same account.
- The Legendary Ring can be equipped along with the following: Lilin’s Ring, Explorer’s Ring, and Resistance Ring.
- Once you have equipped a Legendary Ring, you cannot receive any more additional Legendary Rings.
- When you have reached Level 70, you can get a Special Mastery Book, which has a 100% chance to raise a corresponding 4th job skill’s Master Level to its max if you meet the requirements.
- Only 1 character per job class can participate.
Path of the Great Protector
- December 29 – January 18
- Requirement: Lv.13 or higher
- Accept the quest from the notification icons on the left side of the game window.
- You will receive an attendance book and a training stone.
- Hunt monsters in an appropriate map given by the quest to fill up the stone’s gauge.
- You can activate a buff when the gauge is filled. Duration: 60 min, Weapon/Magic ATT up based on level, max Speed/Jump, can stack with other buffs
- 1 day’s attendance will be marked when the buff is activated.

Maple World Winter Preparations

- Requirement: Varies for each town depending on the level of monsters near it. Lowest: Lv.13 or higher, Highest: Lv.100 or higher

- You’ll be able to receive the event quest from most towns in Maple World, from a different NPC in each.
- Defeat monsters, collect 20 of the requested item, then return it to the appropriate NPC.

- Repeatable once per day.
- Accept the quest from Cassandra to receive a Warm Thermometer.
- Collect “1 Degree” items dropped by monsters.

Known Issues
- The portal leading inside Crimsonwood Keep has been removed while some issues with the Crimsonwood Keep party quest are looked at.
- A party play bonus is in effect for the Knights’ Stronghold, but the enemies therein have yet to be returned to their original stats.
- The Starling Face with purple eyes appears as the Crow Face.
- Certain event quests cannot be accepted by clicking “Available” next to them in the Event List menu.
- The description for Cannon Strike (Cannoneer 1st job skill) says it has a knockback effect, even though to skill does not perform one.
- Craw’s Pirate Hat is mislabeled as “Craw’s Telescope.”
- There is untranslated text when hovering your cursor over Crossroads of Ereve and The Town of Ariant while on the world map.

Please be aware that although the servers are set to Pacific time, there can sometimes be variations in exact time between worlds. It is strongly recommended that you log in well before the event is scheduled and remain logged in even if you do not receive the gift box at exactly 2:30 PM Pacific.
